The NC West District Hall of Fame was created in August 2000 as recognition of superior, effective leadership, and to motivate these leaders to continue their support and involvement with Optimist efforts.
Requirement for consideration of induction into the Hall of Fame are:
1. Continuous service of 10-years with an Optimist club.
2. Has served as a Governor or Lt. Governor or earned the Distinguished Presidents award or Lt. Governor award.
3. Served at least twice as a district committee chairperson.
4. Served at least twice as a district committee member.
5. Nominee is in good standing with their local club.
6. Nominee is in good standing with the NC West District
7. Nominee is active in their local club's projects and activities.
