OPTIMIST INTERNATIONAL ESSAY COMPETITION

Every year, high school students from all over North America participate in the Optimist Essay contest. Each Optimist club conducts competitions for youth under the age of 19. Essays are to be 700 – 800 words or about two type written pages. The essays will be judged at the club level with the top entry being submitted to the NC West Optimist District finals. The district winner is awarded a $2,500 college scholarship.

Completed essays must be emailed to the District Essay Chair no later than February 28th.
